Former Formula One champion Michael Schumacher, who was hospitalised following a severe head injury sustained during a ski accident, is out of coma and was transferred to a Swiss hospital for further treatment. The formula one driver was moved out of CHU Grenoble hospital for further rehabilitation.
His spokeswoman Sabine Kehm said that the driver has come out of coma. The spokeswoman has pleaded for privacy during the course of his further recovery. She did not divulge the details of Schumacher's future treatment and to which hospital he is likely to be moved.
However sources in University Hospital of Lausanne said the driver was shifted to their medical facility. The hospital has refused to give further details about the treatment respecting medical secrecy and family privacy. Schumacher slipped into a coma after he bashed his head on a rock while skiing off piste in the French Alps resort of Meribel.
