The Mahindra Komodo attempts to restructure the traditional automobile designs that overwhelm the Indian market. Designed by Indian designer and IED Torino graduate, Makrand Patil, Komodo challenges to end the banality procreated and propagated by Indian SUV manufacturers.
Mr Patil designed the concept car in collaboration with Mahindra while at IED. He said that the design was etched keeping in mind youth, middle aged drivers or sports enthusiasts. The designer however adds that his model suits families too.
Komodo is built for the Indian roads and rides with equal ease on or off road, coarse terrain, steep lands and in deep water. The boot accentuates the over appeal of the car and is a mind blowing variant of a car-suv prototype.
The designer has dexterously used the bumpers to enhance the overall feel of the design and attribute a sedan look at the rear. The design truly steers clear of conventional models and is undoubtedly the dream car of any Indian youth.
