Shakira is back again with another hip-hop number to spice up Fifa World Cup, 2014. The official World Cup song 'La La La' is a reworked version of 'Dare', the primary version featured on YouTube. The 37 year old Colombian singer who made the world croon and sway to 'Waka Waka' hopes to repeat the magic once again.
Shakira herself has penned the lyrics and scored the music of the official World Cup song. "It's an upbeat, Brazilian track. The lyrics are personal and I've actually recorded a version for the World Cup". The song also marks the debut of Shakira's and her boyfriend and Barcelona FC defender Gerard Pique's son Milan Piqué Mebarak, who is one year old and counting.
Milan debuts with a 'Myah' towards the end of his mamaa's song. "I was in the studio and Milan came in to hang out in the afternoon. I had him on my lap and he was listening and then when it came to the end of the song, he just went 'myah',".
La la la is a fast number fused with traditional Brazilian music. ‘Waka Waka’ penned by Shakira and South African Afro-fusion band Freshly Ground, was the official FIFA – World Cup 2010 song. The official song of the FIFA- 2014 is however "We Are One (Ole Ola)" performed by Pitbull featuring Jennifer Lopez & Claudia Leitte. The song is released in English, Portuguese and Spanish versions.
