Keira Knightley will be seen playing the role of 'Anna Karenina' in a British film adaptation of Leo Tolstoy's 19th century novel of the same name (Anna Karenina).
Oscar-winning writer Tom Stoppard will write the script for the movie,and Pride and Prejudice Director Joe Wright will direct the epic romance.
Anna Karenina tells the story of a married woman named Anna who has an affair with a younger soldier.
Jude Law will play the role of Anna's husband,Aleksei Karenin.Aaron Johnson will play Anna's lover Count Vronsky.
This movie would be the third collaboration between Keira Knightley and Joe Wright .Knightley starred in Joe's 2005 film Pride And Prejudice, followed by the Academy Award-winning movie Atonement two years later.
Filming would start this month in the UK and Russia.The film is being produced by Working Title Films.
"We anticipate that this will be a defining screen version of Anna Karenina," said Tim Bevan, of Working Title Films.
The movie is set to be released next year.
